South west beach holiday

Planning a beach holiday on the south west coast of England, with two young teenage children. In past years we've been to Exmouth, Brixham, Sidmouth, Southbourne, Swanage and Shanklin, and now looking for somewhere new, again with clean seawater. Looking at Seaton - thoughts, and any other suggestions?

Woolacombe or Croyde

I don’t know if Cornwall is too far, but we went to Towan bay near Falmouth last year and the water was beautiful and crystal clear. Not an awful lot around the beach, just a national trust cafe, but it was such a lovely beach.

Other than that I like studland, Lyme Regis and bowleaze near Weymouth.

Seaton is a pebble beach - there's no sand. It's OK as a town now (it used to be quite run down) but not as nice as Sidmouth or Exmouth and I don't think there's a lot to do for teens. With teens somewhere like Croyde or Woolacombe would be better - we took DS there for bodyboard and he loved it.

Good suggestions all - thank you. More welcome.
