Last minute weekend trip tomorrow with a 3 year old

We want to go away somewhere last minute. We live in West Yorkshire so preferably somewhere 2/3 hours drive and somewhere my 3 year old would enjoy and we can stay over.

I’m thinking Cadbury World. Theme park would be too cold I think? Anywhere else anyone can suggest?

Thank you!

I've not been there sorry but I'm sure it would be ok if you have enough layers.

Cadbury’s world is awesome, visited many times when my DS were little they always enjoyed it, very interesting history of too.

I think Cadbury World isn't the best choice for a 3 year old. There's lots of reading and watching little films as it's all about the history of chocolate. Absolutely brilliant but best done with slightly older kids (7+).

How about a zoo? Chester Zoo is fantastic and there are indoor attractions to dive in and out if if you get chilly. Much better for a 3 year old I think. You could also consider the Legoland discovery centre in Manchester (maybe stay somewhere like The Wirral which is accessible to both).

Have you been to Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster? It is brilliant

Ah that’s a shame about Cadbury World.
Theme parks are actually closed until February so they aren’t even an option.
I have been to Yorkshire Wildlife Park and we loved it but it’s only 30 minutes away so no point staying overnight Grin.

We have been to Chester Zoo lots of time…
Lego land could be an option…thanks for the suggestion!

What about down London way.

Whipslade zoo, the gardens (RHS wisly). Travel on trains - even from London you could get to watercress line which little ones love.

My 3 year olds would have been fascinated by York Railway museum.
