I’m wavering - don’t want to get Covid and be stuck there!

Who have you booked your holiday with? If its TUI/First choice I would go for it.

hivemindneeded · 02/01/2022 17:26

Yes. I'd go.

iloverunningslow · 02/01/2022 17:32

I wouldn't go because there's too much risk of having to isolate now if you get covid or some rules change. What seems worse to you, the relatively small risk of having to isolate, or losing the holiday and potentially wasting your money? For me it would be the isolation but lots of people would hate losing the holiday more.

Oops wrong topic

Yes it’s Tui but we’ve missed the full refund canx date 🙄. Hoping we can move another time?

Just go. Have fun.

Also be aware that Spain has an outdoor face mask policy again - depends on how much this affects you . Doesn't apply if you are eating or exercising alone . I think if you are on beach / by pool you are OK once sitting down (not certain)

This would be enough to make me cancel.

GoodnightGrandma · 02/01/2022 17:45

Just go, and go with the flow.
I’ve not been away for nearly 2 years, and I used to go away 3 times a year.

Yes, just had covid last week and a week in the sun would be an absolute godsend atm:)

I went to Spain in August 2020 and it was fine. It was mainly the restaurant and lobby area you wore masks. You don't sit round your pool lounger in the boiling hot heat with a face mask on.

The hotel was spotless. Everything well ran. Took my DS too he loved it.

The most annoying part was the ques in the airport on the way back checking proof of civid status... and when you get off the plane temp checks and so on.

@Piggyk2
The return to the outdoor masks is a recent change due to Omicron . I went in October and it wasn't the case then. I think there was something about masks outdoors in busy shopping areas but not as a general rule and it wasn't something I noticed in the town where we were staying .
