Recommendations for funky restaurants in central London for 16DD and 3 adults

Hey, my DD 16 (in jan) and myself are having 2 nights away in London near Xmas. My 2 friends are in their early 30s are also coming with us and we need recommendations for somewhere to enjoy nice food (not too fancy!) and cocktails! For the Friday evening

Obviously with a under 18 we are kind of limited to bars etc, but would like to go somewhere near ish to Covent Garden for food and the opportunity to have a few drinks too.
