Toddler-friendly hotels in Lake District

Thinking of going in April with DH and DS who will be 18 months. Wanting a nice hotel suitable for toddlers. Don’t really mind which part of the Lakes.

What’s your budget? There are several, but most are ££££

It's not flash, but tbh premier inns are the best hotels to stay in with kids.

What makes a hotel suitable for toddlers? Separate bedroom, baby sitting service, pool, early dinner served in the restaurant? In April I would concentrate on location more than you seem to be because if the weather isn't great you don't want to be stuck in a hotel room or have long drives to get to indoor attractions. I would focus on Keswick and Windermere / Ambleside areas as the most family friendly. Low Wood Bay hotel might suit?

The Lakeside Hotel in Newby Bridge is lovely and caters brilliantly for families. It's in a beautiful spot right on the water's edge and a couple of minutes' walk from the Lake ls Aquarium (good for kids) and also close to the motor museum which is worth a visit. The hotel has a nice pool and a couple of different eating areas. It's just really lovely and we can't wait to visit again in February.

We've stayed in Ambleside Manor with a toddler. It's not a child focused hotel but the managers have small children and were very kind. It's close to the centre of the town and there's a park pretty close by. There's a big guest lounge which we played in in wet weather.

We took our own cot and booster chair (always would tbh) and didn't need e.g. a babysitting service so depends what you mean by child friendly really.
