Blackpool help!

Stupid question perhaps! I think it's much more in Blackpool for the illuminations that it was when I was a child because I'm reading about a lights festival not just the 1990s lamppost lights I was expecting!

Is this 'festival' all part of the same area IE can we just walk around and see everything or is there stuff in different parts of Blackpool that we'll have to drive to? Wanted a simple overnight stay of just wandering with some nice lights before heading back to hotel and now I'm worried I need to plan and book where to go and when! Help!

My nephews went to the illuminations and it looked just like I remember it doing in the 80's / 90's with the lights along the promenade and the trams all lit all so I'm sure you can still do that without any planning if that's what you want to do.

Get on the tram that drives along the sea front its the best way to see them, then find a good chippy.
Wrap up warm as its usually freezing

That would be Top Chippy in Bispham. Lovely! I don't know what the lights festival means, but the lights are just down the prom. Park near Starr Gate end and either walk or get the tram down the the end of the illuminations.

I thought the lights festival had finished?
