Travelling from Ireland and thinking of going end of June 2022. I have googled and found plenty but I'm looking for your personal recommendation. Will have a 3 year old and 7 year old and an indoor pool is a must.

MNHQ update: If you’re short on time, here’s a summary of the best holiday parks Mumsnetters are recommending on this thread:

😎Hafan y Môr, Pwllheli

😎Bluestone, Pembrokeshire

😎Talacre Beach Resort, Holywell

😎Trecco Bay

Will you be arriving at Fishguard or Holyhead?
Hafany Môrhad a big revamp in 2019 and the indoor pool is a big family-friendly pool, rather than your usual rectangle with lukewarm water. It's got a four lane slide as well as splash park type activities. There are nine restaurants and all the facilities you could ever need. It also has easy access to the beach and Dragon Lakes Adventure Village (definitely recommended).

Avoid Parkdean Pendine Sands. The location is good but the park is shabby and run down, we were disappointed when we went a couple of years ago.

Thank you both. @WhatonEarth1 we have two options, I can arrive in either Hollyhead or Pembroke.

I had looked at Haven but saw a lot of complaints about bookings etc but maybe that was just this year and covid?

I came on to say the same. Shabby, tiny pool abs there were loads of rugby clubs staying when we went so lots of noise and antisocial behaviour. Grim.

Bluestone is lovely

Black rock sands near Porthmadog is great - beautiful beach and mountains too. Had no problem booking. Very easy from Holyhead

Talacre beach is lovely. Nice pub up the road and ice cream shop

Bluestone.

Bluestone 100%
Bit like Center Parcs and the Camp Smokey there is lovely. S'mores by the campfire in a forest.
I'm talking myself into going here!

Hafan y Mor holiday park (Haven) is nice.

ZenNudist · 08/11/2021 18:14

I hear good things about bluestone also not far from tenby

Pucarbuile · 08/11/2021 18:17

We went from Rosslare to Fishguard and stayed in Bluestone for 10 days a couple of years back. Lovely place, good pool and lazy river and the kids (grudgingly) did a couple of afternoon activities. Lots of other places nearby to go and explore too.
