Hello Mumsnetters. Has anyone been to the Parkdean Camber Sands park recently and is it as bad as the reviews on Trip Advisor would have me believe?? Also is it worth paying extra for the more expensive caravans? We’re planning to go for a long weekend later in the month, so off season and hopefully not too busy! Thanks

I've not been to Camber Sands but stayed at a parkdean site in the summer and had the same dilemma of paying for a more expensive van. I can't see the model I had on that site but I paid a bit more (about £30 over 5 nights) for one that was new in 2019 so i figured it would hardly have been used due to lockdowns etc. It was really light and modern, non of that classic chintz you tend to get in caravans, had really good storage, a decent kitchen and an amazing shower!

We stayed there in 2019, was nice enough, though we only used the shop, none of the other facilities (probably not helpful at all). We booked via AirBnB and had a lovely van towards the back of the park.

The whole park was clean and tidy, very little litter, lots of bins everywhere, and the other guests all seemed happy when leaving the entertainment - and the chip shop was always busy!

Never been to Camber Sands but regularly do Fallbarrow and we find its worth paying more. Totally off topic but highly recommend Fallbarrow, beautiful park setting and right in the centre of Bowness.
