Recommendation for cocktail bar/ restaurant in York for romantic date

As above really. We're staying near the train station so within walking distance of there. Pretty special date so would like somewhere intimate and quiet....

Malmaison, huge hotel, rooftop cocktail bar, can see across York, on the corner of Rougier Street, two minutes walk from the station or the The Grand Hotel, entrance just hidden away behind Malmaison, The 1906 Room is a cocktail bar, very posh. This hotel has a liveried doorman, very posh!
If you fancy either of these ring and book.
