Ideas for uk break with tweens in December?

Looking for ideas for a family 4 day break mid December, wanted to do something like Alton Towers or Blackpool beach, but it's all closed in Dec :-( Any suggestions along those lines?

We had an excellent 2 night stat at Warwick Castle. My niece and nephew were tweens at the time and loved it.
