Trick or Treating at a Holiday Park

Hi,

Has anyone every been to a holiday/caravan park over Halloween - and if so is Trick or Treating on them a thing?

We're going to be on one for Halloween this year and would like to take the kids trick or treating but don't wnat to make promises to them we can't keep. I'm guessing the same rules apply as trick or treating at houses - i.e. decorated = please knock, no deorations = leave us alone! But didn't want to take decorations, sweets and costumes if it will be for nowt!

Thanks :)

If i was on a holiday park I definitely wouldn't expect trick or treaters or have anything for them! Who takes halloween decorations on holiday?!? If the site has entertainment they might organise something.

We tried in CP one year and very few people had anything with them. Slightly embarrassing after a few knocks.

Don't do this.

I wouldn’t but is there not a Halloween disco or something on site.

No I don't think so. People are unlikely to be prepared/ want to relax. Unless there's pumpkin or halloween decor on show I wouldn't.

It depends I have a caravan and will be decorating it, we will get sweets in case and might trick or treat too depending what other owners are doing. Most haven parks have owners and a lot will be there fir Halloween rather than renting out so you will see decorations.

We were on a holiday site a few years ago and there were loads of children trick or treating around the caravans- we were surprised but maybe there are a lot of caravan owners on that site. I haven't seen it before or since.

Thanks all - a bit of variety of answers though
Though I had made it clear in the 1st post, but we would only let the children knock on places with decorations.

I think we'll go with our inital plan of taking a load of sweets and a few decortaion and then play it by ear when we get there, If no one else is doing it we'll just give our kids the sweets we bought.
