Cambridge - hotel or accommodation with super king bed

Gizmo98765 · 14/09/2021 13:51

Advice please for reasonably priced clean hotel rooms or other accommodation for 3 nights in Cambridge (for family with a 16 and 17 year old). One of the rooms must have a king size bed and the other twin beds/two singles (for older teens). We can have either two separate rooms in a hotel or could book other accommodation.

Thanks

Clayton Hotel

On the Clayton hotel website it just says double beds no mention of Super king beds on any of the room description.

The new graduate hotel is doing an opening offer (20%?). Not sure what size beds but you could ask.

Would you consider 2 x singles instead of the super king? If so you could look at college accommodation.

Thanks I will have a look it was for Oct half term.

Look at the writing in bold under the ‘Executive King’ room tab

Ah, college accommodation less likely then

Yes assumed that would be all taken. DS wants to look around Uni but also bringing DD and DH for a few days. I didn’t want to spend too much on accommodation but we are all tall and DH and I have a Superking at home so feel too hot and squashed in anything less.

Clayton is coming out £600-£700 for the 4 of us with breakfast. I was thinking of somewhere clean more like a Premier Inn with a price tag around £400 ideally. So we can eat out. Also looked at Airbnb but slim pickings.

Westminster college has rooms

Yes only have rooms with a double bed and singles. The teens are different sexes so can’t share a double bed and wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving youngest in a single room on her own also DH and I would find it difficult trying to sleep in a double bed (due to height and size) as we have a super king size at home.
