Any ‘luxury’ Youth Hostels or equivalents?

Can anyone recommend a really nice youth hostel type of accommodation, preferably around Yorkshire, Derbyshire etc? We’ve stayed in YHAs before but was hoping for something super clean with modern facilities as we plan to use the cooking facilities a lot.

I was impressed with YHA Boggle Hole and YHA Brighton, but from the website it appears that the self catering kitchen at Brighton is out of action at the moment.

YHA Boggle Hole is in a great location too!

We stayed at the YHA York and I was impressed. I didn’t use the cooking facilities but they looked fine. Hostel itself was nice and bright and clean.

YHA Boggle Hole, while not exactly luxury, is done up in quite a fun nautical way. The bedrooms are pretty tiny though, and it's very expensive for a hostel.

Whitby is also considered to be a posher hostel.

Wow Boggle Hole does look amazing. My DC would love that. Thanks everyone.

YHA Sill at Hadrian's Wall. As recommended in the Guardian 👌

Recently stayed at the YHA Ilam Hall peak district beautiful grounds but the rooms were like a prison! The reviews were so good but sadly not for me!

I’ve stayed at YHA The Sill in Northumberland recently. It was fab. Bathrooms were really nice and modern. And it’s in a building where there is a garden walk on the roof.

I think Hartington and Losehill Hall are nice.

Nine Banks in the North Pennines. Beautiful, and handy for Hadrian's Wall as well as the Pennines.

Hartington was nice with a decent restaurant, also lovely grounds and a petting zoo with goats etc huge climbing frame and outdoor chess but we went years ago !
Whitby YH not exactly luxurious but in a striking position next to the abbey. Lovely views over the town, games room.
Alnwick YH nice but tiny rooms, not much in the way of grounds I think but was a few years ago.
