Hotel in Edinburgh with some kitchenettes/apartments

I’m hoping someone can help me locate an Edinburgh hotel I found over the last year but forgot to bookmark the link and can’t for the life of me find it now.

It was a lovely fancy old hotel in Edinburgh that was mostly rooms but also had some with a kitchenette or a floor of apartments or something like that.

I wanted to go mostly self-catering but with more of a hotel experience rather than just renting a place and this looked perfect. It’s driving me mad not being able to find it!

Any clues at all? what it was close to, what style of building, did it have a spa, a restaurant?

We usually go for old period-style hotels with a spa so I was most likely looking at them and noticed the apartments/kitchenette rooms. I was looking at places all over the area tbh.

I’ve trawled the web and can’t find anything that’s a mix of both that rings any bells.

I can't think of anywhere that's a mix of hotel and self catering apartments. Could it be:
Knights Residence
Fraser Suites
Sonder Royal Garden apartments
Residence Inn by Marriott (that's a modern building though)

Old hotels but I'm not aware they have apartments:
Caledonian (Waldorf Astoria)
The Balmoral
The Scotsman
Crown Plaza Royal Terrace

Thanks for the suggestions @emmathedilemma Some I’ve seen, others not, so I’ll check them out when I’ve got more time later.
