Watford/herts residents advice please

We have booked HP studio tour for 9.30am this Friday. We are staying at premier inn Rickmansworth. Google maps says is a 20 min drive but would you allow for much longer due to traffic etc? Dh has booked breakfast at 8 in hotel and I am worried we will be cutting it fine

I would use the Waze app... it's like a satnav but updates itself based on traffic at the time. You can plan the drive and put in the time you want to arrive (say 9.15) and it'll tell the best time to leave. It's brilliant!

HP is right by very busy roads and two schools with parents who mostly drive there. And it will be first day back. So it will be busy peak traffic. But if you are a tiny bit late don’t worry they will still let you in!

You should be fine OP but the road from Rickmansworth to M25 can get quite busy - and the same from M25 to HP - although it’s very close to the junction.

I would maybe just give yourselves a bit more time just in case!
