I speed by another thread, looking for a goid holiday park, don't want full on entertainment and a activities, but do need a pool and small play area and restaurant, near to a town, preferably a market town rather than beach.

Thank you, I'm actually looking for mobile homes rather than lodges as we are looking to buy, I just cannot find the right park.

Patrington Haven near Withernsea. Lots of owners rent through Airbnb now. Small, family owned with pool etc.

Lido in Knaresborough.

Ah, sorry, it doesn’t have a pool, but it’s riverside and you can swim in the river.

Thank you for your replies. Patrington Haven is our favourite at the moment it has everything we need but there isn't a lot to do in the surrounding area. Knaresbough lido is a lovely location but being on a hill puts me off slightly as we plan to take our grandsons a lot and teach them to ride there bikes and swim.

We have been to PH loads as it is a short trip for us. There is actually plenty to do, lots of small villages and towns, Hull and also Spurn point for example. You can easily fill a week or two. Also the site itself is very relaxed and DD has enjoyed lots of freedom here as she has grown up. It is totally safe to scooter around etc. Patrington village is also very nice.

Imtoooldforallthis · 03/09/2021 10:51

Oh thank you that is exactly what we need to no, we have been several times to the site but not really looked round the area except for Withernsea which looked a little run down.
