Jersey in the autumn

Toying with the idea of a few days on Jersey end Oct/ early Nov, does anyone have any experience of it at that time if year? I don't mind layering up but if it's known to be a nightmare/ wet & stormy I might leave it till the spring!

Thanks

If it is like Guernsey in terms of weather, slightly milder than England, not usually very wet.

Do not call the people in Jersey foreign, they will be very offended.

No they won't. Jersey is NOT in the UK; you're far more likely to cause offence by saying that than the opposite.

Jersey autumn weather is very similar to the UK but the island is usually slighter warmer. It is an island with a lot of coast so storms can hit but the same storms that everywhere else gets. It won't be weirdly rainy/windy/stormy here but not elsewhere.

Some attractions close after half term though so do check on anything you're considering if you plan to come in November.

But the Channel Islands are not in the U.K... and this topic is about travel to places that are!

Agree that it’s very much not in the UK so far as its national identity goes, but you don’t need a passport to get there and coming back isn’t subject to any testing requirements as it’s part of the Common Travel Area, so as is often the case, it straddles definitions, in this case in the context of 2021 holidays.

We wanted to do October but are waiting as when I contacted places like the war tunnels, they have closed for the season. I’d just say double check what you want to do is open.
