Trips for children, like warwick castle / alton towers

Since we are holidaying in the UK for the foreseeable, what places could we go for a break similar to the above. They loved staying in the knights village and visiting warwick castle. They also loved staying at the enchanted village at alton towers.

I dont want to camp. I would however consider glamping!

What places dont I know about?!

Thanks

Think Legoland, Chessington and Drayton Manor all have theemed hotels on site.

We went to Alton Towers last week, it was heaving and the rides kept stopping. I can't say we enjoyed it. What about Drayton Manor? West Midlands Safari Park? Oh! We went to the Black Country museum too and I loved it, the kids were happy but I love all attention to detail etc etc.

I like to do the alton towers break between christmas and new year.

I will have a look at those suggestions.
