Quiet beaches near Great Yarmouth

We’ve just booked a few days away bank hol weekend at Great Yarmouth.

I’m expecting Great Yarmouth to be packed but does anyone know quieter but nice beaches near there?

What’s the best time to go to horsey beach to avoid crowds?

I’m panicking that it’s going to be really packed this summer.

Anything we should particularly do with kids - ages 7 and 5? We’ve booked bewilderwood for one day.

California and Scratby will be the quietest.
If your dc are even remotely into dinosaurs, they’ll like Roarr Dinosaur Adventure.
Merrivale model village and the aquarium are worth visiting.

Great Yarmouth beach is miles long , been a million times and never been packed like Brighton is

Agree about California and Scratby. Avoid Sea Palling which is one step forward two steps down- custard is easier to wade through if you tried.

Merrivale Model Village has a Banksy!

Thank you all. I will check those out! We will also have a walk down Great Yarmouth beach and see how it goes.

Thanks for the tip about Merrivale. We took the girls to the model village in cotswolds when youngest was a baby so would be nice for her to go to one now.
