Great hotel for 50th in London

I really wanted to take my partner to the hotel in The Shard for his 50th, but all the rooms are over £500 per night. My budget is around £300, but would like it to feel really special. (Will take him for dinner in the shard instead) any suggestions?

I really like Sea Containers London, Vintry & Mercer and the Royal Horseguards which are all a bit different and within budget.

The Dixon Tower Bridge is close and it’s a bit quirky

Also really love the Ampersand Hotel which is the sister hotel to the Vintry & Mercer I mentioned above. They do an amazing science afternoon tea
