I'm going on an Hf walking holiday this month - a family one. Of course there needs to be safety measures in place but I'm abit dissapointed as it sounds like they aren't doing children's activities at the moment and no cream tea on arrival and maybe less food choices. Just wondering if anyone has been these past few weeks and can say whether they enjoyed it and what differences to expect. We'll still enjoy ourselves of course.

I'm an old hand at these. Love, love love them!

Sorry, posted too soon.
We haven't been this year but I thought all things were supposed to be back to normal?
There is a HF Facebook group, not the official one but for reviews etc.
Maybe ask there?

Ooooooh I didn't even think about a Facebook group. Thanks! Can I ask if you have any tips and what footwear you would recommend. Debating on getting walking shoes for the whole family but we'll only be doing the shorter, kid-friendly walks so also thinking maybe trainers?

Also, could you please let me know what that group is called. I can't find it.

HF Holiday Fans, I think.

Which house are you going to?
Walking boots are usually better, more ankle support, more waterproof. Take trainers as well.
Have you done any HF breaks before?

I have no clue how to the MN click links but this is the unofficial group.

I'm thinking of going on one of these this year. Just wondering what the usual age range of the guests is? I would be going as a solo traveller, in my 40s, on one of the UK ones. Are they generally quite easy-going holidays?

My advice would be to pick your tour carefully - we hosted a tour group for a visit and I was expecting them to be fit and active. They weren’t!
