What time are you getting there, and what sort of thing are you thinking of?

When I brought DS there at that age I took him to the very nice park that goes up the hill to the castle. There's a good playground, a river, a soft play if it's raining. The castle has historic stuff for older children, but it would have been wasted on my DS.

Get there around lunchtime, I found the playground at castle but it looks like it's being renovated so not sure where else. Ta

There is Ashend Farm House which is a farm and a soft play

Twycross Zoo is only a 20 minute drive. Lots of rare small primates if I remember. Sweet little things. Lots of other lovely animals too.

Could have a look at Ash End Farm, I've not been for years but hear it's still good. Or there's the Snowdome but that might be too much excitement across two days if you see what I mean.

Aurorie11 · 01/08/2021 23:21

Strikers has or did have an indoor play

Kingsbury Waterpark

Ashen farm is food and has play equipment and a small cafe - don’t be tempted by the earlier farm! Ash end is the second one.

Thanks all does anyone know if the play park on Castle estate is open

Looks like it's still closed I'm afraid, going by the council website.

There's a nice park in nearby Lichfield - probably a 10-15 drive?
