Jersey - waiting for results?

Has anyone any experience of waiting in Jersey Airport for the results of the Covid test?

We are going in 2 weeks time – both DH and myself have been double jabbed and therefore don't need to isolate whilst we're waiting for results however DS 13 hasn't been jabbed obviously and therefore has to isolate whilst we wait for the results which apparently can take up to 12 hours

We're you able to check into your hotel early to isolate ?

When you went were they busy ? We will be arriving on a Monday morning - I am overthinking but it's only DS who has to isolate as we are double jabbed - we will all do a lateral flow day before we leave just to check to make sure we are all negative before we travel to airport

And did you find anything great to do / good laces to eat ? Fingers crossed we get to go - will be so lovely to go away

Hi I went with my DH and we were both double jabbed so we checked into our hotel and didn’t have to isolate. We found loads to do, we bought a pass that allowed us to pick four attractions for the price of three and we used it to visit two different castles, a museum (my DH and both went to a different one and then met up afterwards) and Hamptonne country living museum. We also
paid for separately to visit the war tunnels, we booked that before we went and I recommend checking the weather and booking for the worst looking weather day. We stayed at a hotel St Brelades Bay and I really recommend visiting that area. The beach is amazing, we did a few walks on it, it’s massive and there are lots of restaurants there. We also went and looked at a lighthouse a couple of times in different weather. We went for 4 nights and had an amazing trip.

Thank you - we went a few years ago but was for a funeral so not really had a chance to explore

Thank you for info - just crossing everything that we get to go

If you get pcr tests in the uk mainland (I’m assuming that is where you are leaving from) within 72 hours of arrival in Jersey they will accept this as proof and you won’t have to undergo airport testing. My dparents and dsis and her family arrived on Friday and did this.

Update! We're here. Covid Tested on Saturday at 3pm and passed successfully- got negative results around midnight. Did two lateral flow tests before we left home.
Good activities are quite booked up e.g. kayak tours, rib boat ride so book well in advance!

In jersey on arrival was swabbed - negative results for me & DS came back within 3 hrs - DH came within 6
Had a lovely time & good weather too
