Just thinking of a back up incase Spain is binned off. 9 days, just dp and I. Can go anywhere really, not Glasgow/Edinburgh or North West/Wales as we spend all our time there.

Nice hotels, good food, walks, wine, sight seeing etc

Any suggestions? Thinking Islands/London/south somewhere. Fancied Norfolk broads as a boating holiday but availability seems none existent

Somerset and Bath? Forest of Dean? Cotswolds? Dorset? New Forest? Kent/Canterbury with trips into London? Northumberland? York / North Yorks?

I'd get an air bnb in south east/Kent then you can travel about on the train into London, then out to Kent coast. Eastbourne, Brighton, Canterbury, Whitstable etc air bnb in say Woolwich or Bexley would be cheaper than central London and still only roughly 40 mins on train in

Good ideas thanks.

Thinking south as it’s not an area I do all the time. London/Brighton would be lovely. Also Somerset/bath or Cotswolds

North Norfolk coast would fit the bill, also Suffolk coast - Aldeburgh, Southwold.

Kent - if you like gardens/stately homes etc there are loads and good walking on the Downs/Weald/Coast.

Northumberland is beautiful, as are (is?) the Scottish Borders - quiet, miles of walking, castles and gardens, there are some good hotels and restaurants, beautiful coastline.

Will look at North Norfolk as have never been.

Not such a stately home fan but sure there is plenty for us to do. 😂

Northumberland/Borders out as I lived near both and have done them to death 😂
