Ideas for London restaurant with a 5 year old

I’m visiting London on a long weekend with my little girl in mid-August.

On either the Friday or Sat (early) evening I’d like to go for a sit down meal with her. I’d like to take her somewhere that feels exciting / grown up and isn’t a (big) chain, but also that welcomes / or caters for kids.

She a good eater but doesn’t have very adventurous taste (doesn’t like spicy foods or eggs and is allergic to nuts so tend to avoid cuisines that use a lot of nuts/nut oils in cooking ). She loves pizzas/ burgers/ pasta/couscous/veg. I eat anything and am not looking for anything high end, but it would be nice to experience something a bit different from what we can get locally.

We’re staying at the a hotel just opposite the Tower of London (and in the daytime round the science museum area), so I wouldn’t want to head too far out but doesn’t have to be in that area. Any suggestions welcome as Trip Advisor is a bit overwhelming to navigate! Thanks.

Vapiano just by the south of Tower Bridge is very yummy Italian food!

Bodeans in Tower Hill is really good and has a great kids menu.

Without a doubt, Joe Allen’s, Burleigh street, Covent Garden. Children made to feel very welcome. Feels grown up with a good menu and in house pianist who has been known to play requests on each of our visits from when Dd was three!

Near the science museum, Franco Manca is a great pizzeria for kids and they are notoriously good for dealing with allergies.
The OXO tower brasserie has a kids menu.
Coppa Club Tower Bridge has great views and a kids menu. Unfortunately there’s a minimum spend for the igloos, but the outside seating area is beautiful.

Thanks all - some great suggestions there so I’ll do some reviewing of menus tonight - really appreciate it.

@Jumpingintosummer Your suggestion sounds fab but it looks like it might still be closed at the moment? (unless you know otherwise?).

There is an ice cream parlour in Fortnum and
Mason which is lots of fun. It also does savoury food as well.

Thanks @lobsteroll - she’s not bothered about cake but is crazy about ice cream so that would be a wonderful idea!

Just remembered Where The Pancakes Are. There’s a branch near London Bridge. Also Kensington Creperie near the museums.
