Hi all so I'm looking for suggestions really. My bd is going to be during the October half term and I am due to have my dd beginning of September. I will b taking 2 children a newborn and my ds 6 years old. Also the mil who will be happy to babysit a little. I am happy to travel but think it's too soon to go abroad. Obviously it's gonna b the first time after 9 months I can enjoy myself with a few cocktails etc and have the odd night out but I would also love somewhere with lots to do for the children as I will have so much fun doing stuff with them. Obviously we don't really get the weather this time of year so not sure what will be good. We usually just go to Blackpool for a couple of days as there is something for everyone, but I really wanna try something new. I'd love some new suggestions?

London is great, loads to do in bad weather.
Centre parcs is the obvious choice but expensive for what it is.
Bluestone?
Or completely outside the box, how about Chester? Lots of museums, a great zoo and aquarium and lovely cocktail bars.
Watergate Bay Hotel?

Hi yes London is somewhere I have been considering as I've never been. However I might leave this until Christmas and take the kids to winter wonderland if it's on. I was also looking at centre parks and butlins as they both have lots on site for all of us to enjoy but like you say they are ridiculously expensive and I'm not sure it will be worth the price.

You can still run on the beach even with a coat and shoes! How about a coastal place in Devon or Cornwall?
