Hi! Just after a bit of inspiration.. me and dp are going to Thorpe park in a few weeks, but we're hoping to travel down to the Thorpe park area on the Monday then driving back on the Wednesday.. as we're driving we're not really limited to one specific place but we're struggling with ideas on what to do on the Monday and Wednesday before we go home and what area to stay in 🤷🏼‍♀️ doesn't have to necessarily be very close to the theme park but also don't want it to be a million miles away haha.. so please feel free to give me ideas or advice

I would do the local touristy stuff and visit Windsor Castle, Runnymeade if you haven't been.

You can probably find a reasonably priced place to stay in eg Staines. Windsor is more expensive.

Windsor Castle, Eton, Runnymeade etc
Virginia Water (lovely walk around a lake with a nice cafe)
Hampton Court Palace and Gardens aren't far.
RHS Wisley if you like walking around beautiful gardens is also not too far by car ( a few junctions along M25).

Thank you! Windsor castle is an absolute must!
Going to look at prices to stay in Staines, now 😁

Depends where you are coming from. If you are driving down on the M1 or A 1 you could stop off in St Albans on the way - a lovely place to visit with a lot of history
