Holiday park/site with cottage/house?

Does this exist? Looking for holiday site/park that has actual houses or cottages not static homes/lodges with some facilities, ideally a swimming pool, shop or onsite restaurant/bar, space for kids to play. Doesn’t need to be a big site. Oh and dog friendly.

Limefitt Park near Windermere in the Lake District have two dog friendly cottages. The rest is “lodges” and caravans. The lodges are nice and also dog friendly too. We usually book through Parkdean xx

Thanks, looks really nice but it’s a bit too far away for us really

The lodges/bungalow thingy we stayed in at centre parks was nice. Just seemed like a normal building. Is there something you don’t like about them? Might help with ideas for other places

SouthOfFrance · 23/06/2021 20:31

What area are ou travelling from and how far are you prepared to drive? Might narrow it down a bit.

Paddingtonthebear · 23/06/2021 22:23

South coast so 3-4 hours max, the lakes would be 5-6 hour drive for us. Centre Parcs is very full! Lodge is fine, cottage/house is fine. Just don’t really like caravans/ static homes. Prefer to have an upstairs!

Bluestone's lodges feel very spacious and modern and less like a static caravan.

Some have upstairs and a few are cottages in a central village area.

emmathedilemma · 24/06/2021 09:19

Loads of the Hoseasons and Parkdean sites now have lodges as well as caravans.

This? It's in Cornwall, but only just so you get the pleasure of Devon and Cornwall within a good travelling distance.

There's a place near Tenby that fits the bill, not cheap though!

Happyelfjokeday · 24/06/2021 12:42

Forest Holidays sites? Although they don’t have a pool - they have private hot tubs instead

Trampoline11 · 24/06/2021 12:44

Is West Wales any good?

MrsCalypsoGrant · 24/06/2021 12:54

Have a look at Tolroy Manor in Cornwall, you can book via Tom's Holidays or John Fowler Holidays.

All houses, minimum 3 (upstairs) beds, lounge/diner, bathroom, patio. On site restaurant, pool, shop, kids play area, launderette, plus tennis courts & lots of grassed areas.

Full disclosure - I own property there Grin I'm fully booked till Sept at frankly ridiculous rates but others may still be available...it would absolutely fit the bill for what you are looking for

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 24/06/2021 12:57

also Eaton Manor in Shropshire
