Has anyone been recently? Is it worth going with a 3 year old?

100% dont go, unless you want to be surrounded by weed smoking, boozing and fighting!

lancslass17 · 17/06/2021 17:22

I know the rep just wanting to know if there is actually anything happening for kids?

Funf · 17/06/2021 19:10

I could think of far better places to go, what about Haven?

Loubiemoo · 17/06/2021 19:11

I wouldn’t go there again if they paid me tbh.

Frazzled2207 · 17/06/2021 19:12

I don’t know anything about it but there was something on bbc earlier this week about some people starting a fight and having to get the police in to escort them out
I’d go elsewhere

lancslass17 · 17/06/2021 22:29

Has anyone actually been this year?

OP posts:
happytoday73 · 18/06/2021 21:06

Friend went this half term.... I'm to much of a lady to repeat her description... I really really recommend you don't go.

RumHoney · 18/06/2021 21:07

I went a few years ago. We left early and vowed never to go back.

CandleWick4 · 18/06/2021 21:10

Don’t go! Live not too far and the local paper has numerous horror stories about that place. Wouldn’t go if you paid me. Sorry.

ChimpyChops · 18/06/2021 21:14

I will never go back to Pontins.

Look at alternatives.

happytoday73 · 18/06/2021 21:15

The army stayed their in November... The trip advisor reviews were removed... But one preferred camp bastion in Afghanistan

TheCaddieisaBaddie · 18/06/2021 21:16

Its filthy, dirty, and has rats. Do not go.

BlueBoob · 18/06/2021 21:16

I would sooner give Boris a sponge bath.

happytoday73 · 18/06/2021 21:19

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

CoffeeRunner · 18/06/2021 21:22

It's affordable & available for good reason OP.

I haven't been this year but TripAdvisor has reviews from plenty who have.

I'm not posh. The weed smoking, bad language & drunk people don't actually bother me too much - you get the same at Haven.

The filthy apartments, broken beds, windows that don't close etc do however bother me.

There were also kids of maybe 9 or 10 pickpocketing (mostly from other kids) in the arcade when we went.

Ligglepiggle · 18/06/2021 21:28

I went last year at whichever point there was the least restrictions (July ish) and even the playgrounds were taped off. Only things that cost money were open, the rooms are also disgusting I was fearful we had bed bugs

Evergibbon · 18/06/2021 21:37

My husband and I have been to a few grim ish places on holiday.... and we always make the best of it all and have fun....

Bit fuck me Pontins, fuck, never again!!! No way Jose 😳

CoffeeRunner · 18/06/2021 23:22

Depending on your dates OP, you can get a bargain at Travelodge.

Cheap & basic but clean & they have some good locations for sightseeing, days at the beach etc.

imperialqueen · 23/06/2021 13:58

We went about 4 years ago and I still have post traumatic stress! Sorry if that is a bit extreme. Horrific is the best word for it.
