Things to do in West Sussex

We are going away for a couple of nights with our 2.5yo to West Sussex. Staying in Petworth and planning to spend at least part of one day at West Wittering beach...can anyone suggest some other nice things to do during our stay which aren't far from Petworth, suitable for a toddler (and a fairly heavily pregnant mum!)?

Remember to pre book west wittering as it's only prepaid parking now.

Fishers Farm is not far and good for your toddler.

Petworth Park for the deer!

Boat ride on the river at Arundel or the Arundel Wetland Centre for a bird reserve.

South Downs Light Railway (there’s also a soft play area at the garden centre where it starts)
Harbour Park, crabbing and the miniature railway at Littlehampton
Weald and Downland museum has a nice woodland playground and lots of farm animals

Definitely Fishers Farm - so many activities for a toddler!
For non-busy beaches (shingle) I like Ferring-Gorring
West Witterring is pre-book and don't bother going anywhere near without parking booked
Petworth Park - if you go in the A272 tillington Entrance you can walk to the lake and feed ducks 🦆

There is an industrial museum at Amberley - which has a narrow gauge railway and 100 year old busses running around the site as well as plenty of interesting exhibits.

My kids loved going on the steam trains and busses.

Weald and Downland Museum is perfect.

Bosham is very charming.

Fishbourne Roman Palace maybe?

Climping is quieter than Wittering.
