Places to visit in UK with 3 DDs

I've given up the idea of a "usual" holiday this summer but would love to get away. Thought I'd book some cheap hotels instead and see a bit of the UK with my 3 DDs (12, 10, 8), any recommendations of places to see please which will keep them entertained?

Preferably within 3 hours of Hampshire.

Would love day trips, maybe some bus rides, zoos, boat rides - rather than just stuff you get in every city.

Thank you in advance!!

Lyme regis fossil hunting, or sea glass hunting!
Jacobs ladder in cheddar is good!
Warwick Castle my girls enjoyed

Lots of places on the island!

Brighton is quirky and they might like that. Also things like Vale of the white horse I loved at that age, or any of the chalk pictures.

The pigs in the new forest.

Thank you! I did think about cheddar due to the caves, wasn't sure if Warwick castle would be amazing or boring for them so that sounds good too!

Brighton is a good shout... might have a look into that as only 1.5 hours away!
