London to St Ives places to stop en route?

Driving London to St Ives in July, 2 adults.

Any suggestions as to where to stop off for lunch or stretch the legs to break up the journey.

Or even overnight stay ( if anything is still available)!

The White Post, Rimpton, is just 10 mins from the A303’s Sparkford roundabout.
Teals is so close to the A303 you can see it from the north-bound side.
The Candelight Inn is just a couple of minutes (literally) off the A303 near Chard. If you feel like stretching your legs there’s a lovely2-mile circular walkfrom the pub.
Wildwood Escot is good for a leg stretch and a picnic, but only if the weather’s nice.
Ashburton is full of indie stores. I’d get a takeaway coffee from Cafe Latino, and visit the little deli.
