Anyone claimed under the Haven no quibble guarantee and know the small print?

I'm due to pay the balance on our Haven holiday very shortly - noticed that the no quibble covid guarantee states that you can only transfer your holiday or get a refund if you notify them 28 - 3 days before your arrival. Does anyone know what happens if your unfortunate enough to get covid 1 -2 days before the start of the holiday? Do you just lose all your money? Having absolutely no luck getting through to Haven to double check. Thanks!

We had this last year! My husband tested positive so we cancelled. They refunded with no problem at all. They didn't need proof.

Did you book through the sun promotion? If you did this unfortunately doesn't apply to you. Just had this issue.

I booked through the Sun and it was fine. Although Haven refunded their bit straight away and I had to wait about 8 weeks for the Sun money to be refunded. This was last year though like I said.
