Haven Greenacres in Snowdonia - perfect for toddlers, right by the beach, swimming pool/arcades/playground, loads to do nearby.

RachelRaven · 04/05/2021 20:42

Oh yes green acres is a great site

DenisetheMenace · 04/05/2021 20:44

Have you looked at Readycamp? (Incredibly) cheap, very cheerful, well equipped comfortable (surprisingly so) and incredibly cheap. Several locations in NW and couple of hour’s radius.

lancslass17 · 04/05/2021 20:48

Just looked at Haven it £2,000 for a week in a caravan eek.

What sort of budget are you thinking? Normally I phone butkins on the Sunday and asknforndealsnonnthe Monday in summer. Usually spend £600 catered. But that's more like 4.5-5 hrs

lancslass17 · 04/05/2021 20:55

Around £600 would be ideal, have been looking at Minehead think we could just about manage that far.

I booked self catering 3 bed cottage for £700, just outside a tourist area.

SpringtimeSummertime · 04/05/2021 21:05

The only places really cheap at the moment are premier inn hotels. Absolute bargain.

£530 but at the end of august

sunsetsand · 04/05/2021 21:06

@SpringtimeSummertime they are good but Holiday Inn Express trump them on the free breakfast Grin

lancslass17 · 04/05/2021 21:10

Thomas Land now your talking he'd love that!

Check out Holiday Inn express Tamworth. They're great and it's close to Thomas Land

converseandjeans · 04/05/2021 21:16

YHA have family rooms
Ready Camp

We liked YHA when ours were toddlers as there's a TV/games room usually and often a bar/cafe.

You could do Derbyshire and go to Conkers and then on down to Drayton Manor. National Forest is lovely round there.

I think coastal resorts will be pricey.,

minniemomo · 04/05/2021 21:30

Just book a city break, premier inn, travel lodge etc are great for toddlers.

Skegness is closer to lancs then minehead. Although I prefer minehead. Like I said though I only get that low price booking last minute, which is a risk of you have limited holiday. Especially if they are under occupying massively again this year.
emmathedilemma · 05/05/2021 11:33

Try Scotland in the last 2 weeks of August as the schools go back earlier up here so it might be a bit cheaper than England.
You can have a 2 bedroom caravan at Mortonhall on the southern edge of Edinburgh for just under £1000 which is still eye wateringly expensive but there's plenty to see and do in the area with a toddler and less nice sites are almost double that. www.meadowhead.co.uk/parks/mortonhall/

Premier Inn is a good shout if you don't mind sharing a room. Maybe a couple of nights on a city break - York maybe?
