HELP university visit ,southampton b&b needed

Hi travelling to southampton to look at the uni ,ideally want to stay to avoid the very early car journey on friday morning . Having looked ,i can only seem to find Hotel at expensive prices, any one knows a good b&b. i dont mind travelling into southampton in the morning, so as long a sits fairly easy into city center im open for suggestions. Anyone please..

there are novotel, hotel ibis, travelodge and holiday inn (I think) all within walking distance - depends what day of the week you are going I guess. If you would prefer a B&B though I could recommend a couple - about 20 mins walk from the university

We are going friday the 15 nov. The hotels were a bit pricey and i prefer a nice B&B. Thanks for looking for me

you could give these a try. The first ibe is one we reccommended when we got married and seemed OK. The second one is next door to a friend of mine who used to run it - don't know what it's like now.

They are both about 20 mins walk from Solent University but a quite nice walk IYSWIM - across the parks

Thanks for looking for me. we have decided to stay with my brother in portsmouth, although it means an early start , it will be a lot cheaper. Thanks again .
