I've just tidied up my garden, my cottage garden part which I created last year is currently bare.ive got all the usual in there like nepeta, iris's, Hardy geraniums penstemon etc but I'm just wondering what plants in your gardens are waking up and showing signs of life..im constantly amazed at how different a garden changes from now until June and get worried each year nothing is going to come up. So please tell me whats is starting to grow in your garden

My primroses look really nice at the moment and my daffodils are beginning to open up.

Even though I'm down south, mine seems a bit slow this year. It's south facing too but we did have a cold snap.
Currently got a lovely wallflower just about to flower (orange/red), the roses have just been pruned but are sprouting, daffodils are out and the dwarf ones look lovely and have definitely multiplied. Euphorias are flowering but really leggy and out of shape because I didn't realise you can cut them down to the ground after flowering.
Apart from that it's looking a bit bare but by summer it's usually totally out of control!!!!

There's also a really weird clump of small bulbs coming up which I'm pretty sure I didn't plant but I'm starting to think it might be alliums from a seed head which I must have left! They are in a perfectly round clump.
