Holiday House for 6 - Anywhere in the UK - anytime in the Summer hols

Hello! I'm hoping for tips or inspiration if anyone knows of a lovely holiday property for 6 (adults and teens). Can be anywhere in the UK - somewhere to have fun in the water like sea or a lake nearby would be a definite bonus.
We would need to go during the Summer hols for between 4 and 6 nights. Budget would be up to around £2300 if it was somewhere really lovely.
Any help greatly appreciated. I have trawled all the usual sites but seem to have missed the boat...
Thank you hive mind!

if you're searching on 4-6 nights that's possibly why you aren't finding anything as most self catering properties are a minimum 7 night (usually Fri-fri or Sat-Sat) booking during peak season. AirBnB is one of the few places that you might get the option of more flexible dates but even some of them have a minimum length of stay.
Scottish schools go back in the middle of August so you might have a slightly better chance of finding something there at the end of August.

Try the Cotswold Water Park waterpark.org/places-to-stay/self-catering/ There are loads of activities and places to eat if you don’t fancy cooking every night.

Thank you both!

I haven’t been but was also going to suggest Cotswold Water Park as I saw loads of places there last time I looked.

We stayed in Norfolk last year here's the Link it slept six and was one of the best holidays I've had :)

@Norfolkwelder that looks amazing. Can’t believe how much the service fee is though. Does that go to Airbnb or the owners?

MotherOfSuburbia · 24/02/2021 16:45

@Norfolkwelder - what a beautiful property. Cromer is lovely. Just need to find out when A level results day is before booking!

Try the specialist Facebook groups, holiday cottages direct or something along those lines. You'll be able to put a request post up and only people with availability can reply.
