Have you ever been a house-sitter?

I'm quite intrigued by the idea of this. DH works away a lot and I was thinking that (once Covid has disappeared) I could go and do some house-sitting. Initially in the UK, but possibly further afield.

Does anyone have any links to good websites please?

A friend of mine does it, very much off grid - Spain etc very rural.
She cares for the pets too so studied some animal care courses beforehand.
She goes with her partner whose a fab handy man, they’ve had awful experiences with properties being in a terrible condition and they’ve left it better than when they arrived.
She does have a website, I better not post it though as i haven’t spoken to her. On the whole it’s been a total lifestyle change for her and she adores it.
Good luck in your endeavours!

I did it through trusted house sitters website

No, but we use house sitters when we go away. They are heavily vetted and utterly reliable: they saved us from a house fire when the electric cable shorted out. Worth having a look at their website?
