somewhere to stay north of Birmingham

We are trying to arrange a family get together on a sat night in November. We have agreed to meet north of Birmingham because we are coming from the Wirral, Peterborough and London and that seemed central. Searching for a hotel that will cater for two young families (children 0, 0, 2,4,6) and (divorced) grandparents. A pool would be nice but not imperative. I think we will want to eat in the hotel. In the ideal world it would not be in the middle of nowhere but I don't mind. HAving trouble searching on the internet because I keep getting Birmingham airport hotels etc! HELP!!!

Ramada Penns Hall in sutton coldfield is a great hotel- it has a Sebastian Coe health club attatched that you can use.

Very family friendly, nice bar and restaurant.
