The Grand or the Principal York?

Going to book a few days in York later in the year (in the hope things will be better by then!) but can't make my mind up between these 2 hotels. Does anyone have any recommendations for either?

I would say the Grand. The Principal was looking a little frayed around the edges last time I was there.

Next time I go to York I am going to book Grays Court.

Just had a look at Grays & Dean court and both so look lovely. I quite like the swimming pool when I'm on a break though which is probably why we were thinking Grand or Principal.

That song is now stuck in my head too
