London hotel for summer?

Praying that if things improve we will get away for a long weekend to London to celebrate a significant birthday. I'm totally out of touch with the hotel scene but would like somewhere with the wow factor.

I've been thinking about booking ahead with the option to cancel in the hope of a great deal.

Does anyone have any suggestions I could have a look at?

You could look at the Corinthia or the Andaz. Corinthia is central, whereas Andaz is closer to the East, Spitalfields etc.

Thanks @DianaT1969 . I'll take a look

Feels so lovely even googling hotels, don't really dare get my hopes up but it seems most places are offering decent cancellation terms

@KimchiLaLa stayed at St Martin's Lane before. Scared to go back because we had some an amazing time that I can't imagine it ever being as good again!

The Standard if you want something more modern. It's a new hotel. I've stayed at one in New York and they are fab.

If you want something more classic the Lanesborough is beautiful with fab food.

Also Shangri-La in the Shard although it is very expensive.

Just having a look and everywhere seems to be about double the cost of what I have paid before. Places must be trying to recoup some of their losses. I think I may need to hang fire!

Check out Flemings of Mayfair. Gorgeous 5 star, but at favourable prices in a fab location.
Enjoy.

If you want to stay somewhere budget instead Premier Inn hubs are fab and very cheap (for London). I always stay in one.

I would recommend staying at Crowne Plaza Albert Embankment, The Dixon Tower Bridge or Conrad St James. All gorgeous hotels.
