Where to go after Christmas?

I always like to go away for a few days after after Christmas, so 27th to the 31th December. I usually go to France but, for obvious reasons, I'll be staying in UK this year (Hertfordshire). Any ideas on lovely areas I could visit with my 2 (young) boys? Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

The Cotswolds - my DC enjoyed Cotswold farm park, wildlife park and gardens, the motoring museum and Blenheim Palace. We had lots of cosy pub lunches and nice walks.

Or the New Forest - my DC enjoyed Beaulieu, Paultons, hiring bikes, Exbury gardens and steam railway and taking the foot ferry to the Isle of Wight and back again! Again, lots of lovely walks, bike rides and pub lunches.

Thank you so much. I've done the New Forest with the kids before so will take them to the Cotswolds this time! Great recommendation 😊
