UK City break with good BABY shopping

Hi there all, I'm hoping someone can advise. My town, Reading, doesn't have a lot of 'baby shops'. It's my husband's birthday in January so I'd like to book us a nice city break somewhere which has some good/varied/boutique baby shops we can browse, plus all the usual good stuff to do - food, sights, etc! Happy to travel up to 4 hours, looking for maybe 2 nights away. We go to London a lot so I was looking for somewhere different. I'm a FTM and will only be 20 weeks by then.

Are you sure your husband will want to go baby shopping? In all honesty though what about somewhere like Manchester.

He's more excited than I am 😂😂😂😂 he's wanted a baby for 5 years now, I've only just felt ready. I am thinking Manchester, but i have absolutely no clue where to start looking!!

The Trafford centre has a mamas and papas , John Lewis, selfridges sell baby clothes too in there. There are some smaller independent shops in the city centre ( though no where near the number there are in satellite towns around Glasgow but we are spoilt for shopping here!)

Liverpool.
Small Compact City, loads to see and do, reasonable prices, very good shopping, helpful locals.

This Market is a short drive out of the city, its well known for all sorts of stuff, it has several Bespoke baby stalls and dress makers.
