Family friendly hotels in London

Has anyone stayed in any nice family friendly central London hotels? Looking for a mini break to show my kids the sites while the city is still empty, and would like a nice fancy hotel - not crazy money fancy, but nicer than a travel lodge fancy.

Novotels are usually good for families, tend to be a safe bet. Not super fancy though...

Prices are great for London hotels at the moment though, we're off for a short break too, and there were so many good options around.

Premier Inn, Farringdon. Right by Smithfield Market. Relatively new hotel, great staff, walking distance to St Paul's, Museum of London and the river boat. Quiet area but Carluccios and a few other eating places very close by. Worked super well for us as a family two summers ago with our then 6 and 2 year olds.

I like Yotel in Clerkenwell (Farringdon). It is cheap and high tech, but no frills. Good for families, fab central location.
