Where to go in south of UK Feb half-term?

I’m thinking of booking somewhere for me and my family (DH, DD 4 and DS who’ll just be 2) next feb half-term. I think we’ll need a change of scene by then!

Am thinking self catering, 2/3 bed, south of London, so as far east as Kent and and west as Dorset. Needs to be a good base for days out for a young family.

Any tips on locations and/or accommodation? My initial ideas are Dorset coast of Isle of Wight.

You might be in Tier 3 by then though?

Good point. Would only be booking somewhere if reasonable cancellation etc. Just toying with the idea of having something low key in the diary to look forward to.
