Hotel for anniversary - near West London/Bucks

Looking to arrange for a night away in December for DH & I.

Originally looking at Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield as they do a package for a superior room with dinner, b&b for around £450 which is the absolute max we'd consider spendng. However, some of the reviews are not great so I'm not 100% sure it's for us.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other hotels an hour max away from West London that might fit the bill? Also would need to be cancellable if the Covid situation gets worse!

River Arts Club or The Oakley Court

Roseate Hotel Reading - the rooms are amazing, spa and good entertainment. It is a gorgeous town hotel. Thank me later.

Stoke Park?

The grove is nice.
I wouldn’t go to CB for a special night away.

@Holidayaddict Danesfield House near Marlow might fit the bill. Long time since I was there but certainly a lovely location. Always worth speaking direct to hotels ...certainly deals to be had in this current climate.
Hall Hotel near Hook is lovely too, while I think of it!

Stoke Park is beautiful. I personally wouldn't stay at The Crazy Bear as apparently the rooms are pretty dark but I'd pop in for a drink as it's very different, almost tacky 😂. I live nearby and love Beaconsfield for drinks, they have some lovely pubs. Stoke Park really is stunning though 👍🏼

Spent a night at The Compleat Angler in Marlow back in February which was lovely. Great breakfast and booked dinner at Sindhu which was fabulous!
