Anyone going to Alton Towers / Legoland during October holidays?

I booked 2 months ago to stay in Cbeebies hotel next week to treat my 4 year old son as it's his birthday next week. The Covid advice recently was not to make any plans to go overseas but nothing about travelling in UK. There's news today saying that the Gov might release news on Monday for a Red Tier in northern areas and that possibly no overnight stays are to happen 😕 anyone else booked to go?

Hiya we are booked for two nights at Alton Towers in our Oct 1/2 term which is the week 26th Oct. I assume if it gets cancelled we will get a refund! I know they did refunds or rebooking during lockdown. We also paid for their cancellation insurance so hopefully it will be covered? We booked back in Jan so well before Covid!

Yes I think they might just rebook the dates if the park is shut. Likewise we took out the cancellation policy too but it runs out on Sunday as I think it's a 72 hours cancellation before the booked date and the gov announcement is suppose to be on Monday 😔 really hope it doesn't come to that. We've been following all the guidance the whole time and just wanted to take a short break.
