Where's a good place to stay near O2 arena?

Going to seee the Foo Fighters in Nov. Sis and I need somewhere to stay. Travelodge will do but just how grotty would it be and do you know of anywhere decent and not too expensive.

there is a big new holiday inn 5 mins down the road from the o2.think its comes under bugsby way chartlon or greenwich.hope this helps.

Thanks marymay - will check it out. Is it walking distance then ( staggering hopefully after lots of jumping about to the Foos.)?

i would say about 20 minutes walk.its quite a dark road you might be better getting a black cab, there shoud be loads out side by the station or a bus.
