has anyone had any bad experiences at centreparcs elvedon? we went this year and it was just awful. have written to them asking for refund but so far they have only offered money off next trip.
Has anyone else complained and got a good result?

I used to work at Center Parcs, Longleat and mainly complaints were about not being able to do anything because the parc was overcrowded and everything was fully booked. I know that if you complain you get money off your next holiday but I'm not sure about refunds. Just keep on and on at them and they should back down. What happened?

The first time we went we paid extra for the cleaning service which was useless-they either did not turn up or did nothing when they came. I complained and got an actual refund of what we paid for that sevice.

We went many years ago and found it very difficult to book activities. Expensive too we thought.

We left early as DD was pushed off a slide in the toddler pool and suffered a head injury.

when we arrived at our "comfort villa" it really really stunk. it was a cross between damp and cats urine. My husband rang and complained and they sent a cleaning crew to clean carpet. they gave us an industrial ionisor and told us to leave the radiators on ((it was august) not v impressive as we had our six month old and two year old. the cleaning staff found a huge damp patch. got moved. had an awful wheezy night( i'm asthmatic). went out for the day . got served raw chicken in a restaurant. went back to villa and it was the same smell! really rank. finally got moved to a better villa which didn't stink. we'd only booked a long weekend. the best day was the day we left

I agree it's overpriced and they try to squeeze as many people onto the parc as possible.
I have to say that you get really good discounted holidays if you work there and we went a few times while we were working for them. Both me and Dh worked at longleat at the time, so we went to all the other ones on holiday. You also get to use the spa for free which is the best bit.
I wouldnt go there now and pay full price.
