Yorkshire Dales bestplace to stop off A65

We’re heading west from Harrogate to South Lakes and wondering where’s the best place to stop for a short scenic walk and lunch ? Don’t want to stray too far off the A65
What’s Settle like? Will Ingleton be mega busy on Wednesday?

Kirkby Lonsdale is nice

Settle is lovely.

Clapham - a very short walk to the lake or keep going to the Caves.

Or keep going to Gaping Gill, or even the top of Ingleborough (but some paths might be closed for maintenance)
